How do you display stock news for stock tickers in your portfolio?

Until about a week ago, my customized my.yahoo.com page displayed recent news on stocks included in the stock portfolios I had created. The news disappeared recently.

Does anyone know how set my.yahoo.com to display recent news on stocks listed in a portfolio?

After finishing a really nice poster for my Spanish project, I finally decided it was time to start getting an art portfolio together for jobs and college.

I was wondering what you all would recommend as far as quality, price and size. Any links or information would help out. I’m willing to spend a good bit of money on a portfolio if it will last.

Any Canadian mutual fund portfolio trackers that allow re-occurring transactions and actually work?

I am looking for a free canadian mutual fund portolio tracker that allows re-occurring transactions. I am currently using fundlibrary.com but their re-occurring transaction ability has not been working for the past 3 years and they have no intention of fixing it. The other option is globeinvestor.com but i would rather not have to pay 159$ a year for something that should be a free service.

Car repo and a collection agency?

In 2006 I bought a 2005 Chevy Tahoe with 9,000 miles on it paid 27k after taxes fees ect, was 38k new. My loan was 27k and the payments were 500 bucks a month for 5 years. After 6 months driving the dang thing the transmission went out and it cracked a engine too. Estimate to get this fixed is around 7k so I took it to back to the dealership i bought it from to see if they can help they said nothing they can do because on the purchase agreement I opted not to purchase the warranty it said AS-IS. I got several other estimates 6-8k was the norm. I even took it to an attorney nothing they could do. So i put it up for sale agreeing to fix it, I only could get at most 15k now the gas prices went up after paying 6k to get it fixed I would be out 16k. make matter worse I lost my job so I fell behind on the payments and the SUV got repoed at the end of 2006. I have not heard a thing about this until now, My bank was WAMU but I heard they went under so I have this new company Portfolio Recovery Associates called my. This guy Mark Francis was nasty as can be he demanded 29,000 for the defency of my balance owed. They told me that they bought WAMU so now I owe them. They are demanding a payment plan. I was ok then you can bring me a new Tahoe, he laughed and called me a deadbeat and if I dont take care of this they will sue and garnish my wages. I asked him how are you comming up with that, he then said they sold your truck for cheap plus add up your monthly pentalies, repo costs, intrests and collection efforts then walla you owe 29,138. Now the phone has been ringing daily and getting messages from this guy. I got a letter It just stated we now own this account orginal WAMU….. Portfolio Recovery Associates xxxxx. I am barely making ends meet here would and need some advise.

i know i also asked about singing but i have always wanted to model and sing… how do i start modeling etc?

ok i dont want to start RIGHT NOW im only 13 and still haven’t finished growing… or started growing but how can i start getting ready. since i was little i’ve wanted to model and sing. i’m still kind of short (5 ft) but i have only just started growing taller.
just how can i start keeping a port folio and just preparing my body?

Portfolio question for freelance photo editing?

So I’m starting to freelance my photo editing services. Let’s say that I have permission from photographer to edit photos and/or client owns all rights to the photos…if I was using the images in my portfolio (after obtaining permission), do I need to credit the photographer in my portfolio?

Help my wife was scammed by a debt collector?

On Wednesday my wife got a call from a guy claiming he was from the IRS stating his name was Al Hobs. He stated that we misstated a 1099 form and therefore you owe us 5,687 in back taxes. I do contract work and we have mis-stated one before and it was not fun with penaltiess and interests. This Al Hobs was veryforce fulll andthreadingg saying he will butlienss on property and garnish wages he also noted it will cost us double what we owe. She told him that she should talk to me about it, he said its too late we have been trying to talk to him, He did offer he a payment of 4,000 and would consider this closed. She gave him her credit card to settle this. I got home and she told me about this I was confused and called the our tax guy. One the tax guy said it would take up to a week for me to review you document. Two the tax guy said they would send writtencorrespondencee to you on this, also the IRS never acts like Al Hobs and demands money right here and now. Tax guy advised that I should check my wifes credit card to see if was the IRS or a scam. Sure enought I checked my wifes cc transaction there was a payment of 4,000 to portfolio recovery associates. Well they have been contacting me on a debt way past the statue of limitations. Debt was charged off in 1999 as a Discover card for 1,987 and they inflated it to almost 6k. I called them up and talked to a supervisor very shady and he said that my wife agreed to make a settlement and we did not pretend to be the IRS. He did also state I will get a letter showing a it is settled and closed and he also laughed and said yes you will get a 1099-c form on they debt we forgave to you. so will IRS by the way. I told them I am going to fight this he said who will they belive a dead beat like you or us. I think us good luck. What can i do, can we dispute the charge ect. I am really p’d off.
I see all kinds of nasty on this company Portfolio Recovery Associates how can they talk to my wife anyhow as this debt was before we were married.

Education. Do I need a portfolio for a teaching interview?

I have an interview tomorrow. One of my friends (college of education student) tells me I NEED to make a portfolio. My other friend who is a teacher tells me that it is a waste of time. She said it’s more important how you present and carry yourself rather then flipping around showing them things (during the interview )in a portfolio. What should I do?

If it will come from the 40K/IRA portfolio, will it be treated as a withdrawal from my friend/relative investment portfolio. Is another alternative asking my friend/relative to pay me directly from another source not her 404K/IRA account? Is this treated as a management expense from my friend/relative perspective and income to me? How is this done? Mind you, she is the one asking me to manage her investment and wanting to pay me for my service. Any response will be appreciated.

I had worked as an equity analyst for ten years in Asia, and then I got my MBA degree last year. I am thinking of Investment Banking or Portfolio Management to be my next step of career pursuing area. It seems like my previous working experience is more related to portfilio manager since I started to lead a team of analysts to evaluate all kinds of investment projects three years ago. However, I am interested in IB area and would like to learn more other than public stock market. Could someone give me some ideas or suggestion?
