I want to get in the game and continue getting my feet wet through investing in stocks and ETFs, but at my age (25), it’s tough to balance saving and investing through the relatively little amount of money I have compared to others. Does anyone have insight as to what people in their mid-20’s should focus more on with their finances? Also, are there any other investment vehicles that I could be utilizing better based on the amount of money I put in each month. I just want to be assured that I am getting the most bang for my hard working buck.

The Blue Fund’s parent company say its research shows “blue” companies — about 80 out of the S&P 500 — outperformed the broader market by 10% over the last five years. That would seem to dispel the old adage that Democrats are bad for Big Business. “We are trying to create a successful platform for progressive business leaders and cast a light on a political system we think is broken,” says Daniel de Faro Adamson, the fund’s portfolio manager and a former McKinsey associate who has a law degree from Yale and a graduate degree in politics from Oxford. “These companies aren’t just talking a good game about their environmental and political contributions.”

Okay, So I’ve got about $9000 that’s been sitting in my Starone.org credit union earning 5%. Well I’ve just finished reading the Wealthy Barber , Richest Man in Babylon & Dave Ramsey books. They all seem to say I should open a Mutual Fund with a good portfolio manager. Can someone tell me where I can start researching this. Better yet. Can someone just list a few examples of Mutual funds I can throw some of the money in now while I research things as I go?
Any other suggestions welcome. But I’m getting tired of researching things on my own right now only getting more lost.
