It seems that on the proxy of every stock I own there is a resolution to approve yet another mega-perk for the top executives. I earned a comfortable income, but these guys earn in less than two days what I earned in a year. Come on!
These expenses greatly dilute stock earnings. Do mutual fund managers vote the proxies? If so, how?
Edit: A Nobody et al: you misunderstood me. I was talking about the corporate executives making the big bucks, not the fund managers. I don’t care how much responsibility you have, a million bucks every week or so is enough.

What are some names of well-known MF Portfolio managers that have consistently given good returns?
I’ve tried a google search, didn’t see much. I am interested in investing but don’t want to go gung-ho, plan on being a bit more conservative by investing in MF’s rather than individual stocks.
Out of curiosity, is Berkshire-Hathaway considered a MF? I’m guessing no, I know that it has holdings of a bunch of companies, what is it classified as?

Everybody I know got hit hard on their funds this recession. That shouldn’t be the case, considering fund managers can set stop losses, short stocks, or invest in ETFs that actually go up when the market goes down (bear funds).
Are there any fund managers that adapt and switch from long to short to profit from recessions using the methods I mentioned in the title?
Is it typically difficult for stock mutual fund portfolio managers to outperform their relevant benchmarks?
