Another Portfolio

I’m in my second and final year of Sixth Form, and entered the sixth form thinking it was for me, but I’ve now realised it isn’t.. this far down the line. I did fine in my GCSE’s, getting A’s and B’s, a couple C’s. But I’m seriously struggling in these years, AS results I got D’s and E’s. I’m taking French, Photography and Applied Art (took maths in my first year, but dropped it for my second since I got a U, yet I got an A in maths for GCSE and took the extra statistics course also, getting a high B).

I’ve been threatened to get kicked off my french course since I’m so far behind on the work, because I’m concentrating on my two art courses (hell of a lot of work), since I’m wanting to study that at uni, starting with an Art FdA course. And still I’m struggling to keep up with those. I can do great work, it’s just keeping up with it all the A levels at once, it’s not for me. I’ve really wasted these last 2 years.

I’m wondering if I can take a year off next year and just work (earning some money and work experience), build up a better port folio then, and then take up my Art FdA degree the year after? It would really help me get back up on my feet also (personal/family problems going on too). Is this possible at all? Can you suggest anything else?
