Basically, what is a bond?
Are gold and silver considered bonds? Are all bonds treasury bonds ?

I’m looking for a good web site to make a free portfolio of my work (Poetry, Films, etc.) and potentially have big publishing firms or producers notice all of it. Any help would be appreciated!!
I am a practicing photographer…and I am aware that in some cases the more expensive camera provides a better set of options/features (provided one takes the time to read the manual or take classes to learn the cameras proper functions)…I have a Canon Powershot SX110 and I adore it but I am wondering if it’s enough to build a portfolio with…or if it is even up to par….
The another side kicks in and thinks that it’s not always the camera it’s the photographer.
I have some pictures uploaded to a website called deviant art but I have yet to receive any comments on them as of yet…..
My User name on the above mentioned website is Demoness-kumori..
I would be willing to email you some samples of my photo’s.
My question is…
well, How do you really dive deep into this world…I want to make prints to hang on the wall…to make a portfolio with and to sell if I so choose but I am unaware as to how to go about any of these things…
Please leave as much detail as you possibly can, I am really going to go for it and all of your advice is greatly appreciated!
Thankyou.

I have a few ideas of my own but I would just like know some opinions of what I should hand in my portfolio. And what you think the judges would like to see. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
I just started to get into photography and what I like to capture are landscapes at night so I just wanted to know if it’s good enough because this would be my first time submitting a portfolio.

I am currently a 17 year old graphic artist who designs anything from T-shirts to websites, and I’m curious as to what yahoo answers will rate my work as?
I don’t have that big of a portfolio at the moment, but my clients are slowly growing.
Also, are my prices fair?
(My design business is called Sail Of Designs, click on the pricing button to view my pricing page.)
Is it really hard to find the pricing button?
Its posted in a blog, and its right under the “my latest work” graphic.
Well, if you really cant find it, pricing blog is here.

I’ve been in a graphic and web designer for about 6 months now, and I have a pretty good portfolio. I don’t have the funds to host my own site. Are there any decent sites that allow you to create a free portfolio gallery?
Every investor now and then wonders what it would be like to “put all his chips” on “the big one” and hope that one stock or sector fund will yield him amazing returns.
For example, if I had put my entire nest egg into Phoenix Real Estates Securities (PHRAX) last year (considering it’s good performance the years before), I would have received a 36.3% return on my portfolio last year.
Of course, only a fool would think of making such a volatile, risky bet.
But what if I offered the sale of a sector fund (or any other security deemed to have a good chance of yielding high returns) and promised to cover the portfolio’s losses up to 50% for a 8.5% premium? Or in other words, for 8.5% of your portfolio’s worth, I will cover all negative returns on your fund up to 50% at the year’s end, should this happen.
Seems silly, I know. Just wondering if this is a solid idea to build on.
Hi, my name’s Matt and I’ll be graduating from WSU this winter, 2006. I’ll have a BA in communications: advertising major, ethics minor.
I’ve posted this question in hopes of making contacts in the Seattle/Tacoma area who can help me find a job when I move back to town.
I have two years experience in advertising sales and design at a small newspaper, and I’m an officer and local AAF chapter leader for the WSU Advertising Club.
I’d like to eventually become a copywriter, but I’ll start anywhere. I’m currently working on my portfolio.
If I had to choose between working for a large agency or a small one, I’d choose small at this point. I like the idea of helping smaller businesses grow while sticking to a tight budget. Anybody can create a good campaign with $200 million dollars, but limited funds force you to be more creative in reaching new customers, and I like that!
So if you can help me out, or know somebody who can, please let me know. Thanks so much for your help!
GO COUGS!
I am interested in becoming a Portfolio Manager or Asset Manager for real estate mainly multi-family housing. I spent 3 years as on-site manager of multi-family housing and would now like to make the move up the ladder to a Portfolio Manager or Asset Manager. This means I would manage several sites and staff. Does anyone know anyone in the Portland, OR or Vancouver, WA area who might be able to talk to me about the skills I have aquired to move to this next level?
i need to wrtie a paper on how a 3-ring binder works….if you have any idea of how it works and what materials it may be made of that would be great! i just need to know for a simple binder…nothing fancy!
I have a tote bag that carries my girl essentials, and just random stuff that doesn’t fit my books or binder, so I use a binder to hold/organize my things. What do I put in it a binder and how to organize it? Thanks.
ps, school starts super soon for me so that’s why.

I reside in California and I was wondering if anyone has any legal information regarding destruction of private property, in this case a personal work of art. I go to art school and I brought to class a rendering. The teacher didn’t like it so he actually tore up two of my renderings into little pieces! Now, I’m not sure if this is commonplace for an instructor to tear up their students’ work even though they’re paying thousands of dollars to attend art school, but I think it’s ridiculous and unacceptable. Is there anything I can do about this? I spent a lot of time on those renderings, they aren’t just rough sketches, and I wanted to include them in my personal portfolio. This jerk just purposely ripped them up into shreds right in front of me and I have no copies of it! HELP!
