I am applying to Tisch NYU as a photography major and need insight on my photo portfolio. I have just a few days left, and am having so much trouble getting down to 15 photos only. Please give some insight, and pick your up to 15 top photos out of these. Thank you.

All of your photos that show a human emotion or feeling are fine. Those will get a deeper reaction from the viewer.
Photos of flowers, building, sunsets, and other inanimate things…blah.

I definitely like your people shots better than your scenery shots (you have a beautiful family). I especially like the ones of the newlyweds because you have definitely captured their true love for each other. However, I am not photographer and this is just my opinion.

I like majority of them. eating canon made me smile. very distinctive with faith, you have a nice family pic, sidelines is unique, smiles, Some can be better thoughted through with the titles, but every artist sees differ than the other artist does. couple i would question u about. home, is it that dark when u think of home? Isolation, the first one and the second one, i dont care for. when u see isolation or think isolation, u think a state of separation between persons or groups, a feeling of being disliked and alone

(psychiatry) a defense mechanism in which memory of an unacceptable act or impulse is separated from the emotion originally associated with it.
question about your farm isolation. the farm is isolated from the rain drops? why i ask that is because u are making the viewer only compare the barn house to the rain drops on your camera. is the barn by it self in an open field? i don’t know as the viewer, i need to imagine what u mean by isolation.
isolation # 2 = im sorry, im not really feeling the title isolation. this one is more like ” closing time, or closed, or vancante.”
examples = a heard of black sheep and a white horse = isolation. a barn in a empty, or full grown corn field = isolation. a single car in an open vacant parking lot = isolation.
-title, Love = the red heart in the book. one of the first words i can make out clearly on the left page is divorced? maybe a poem of some sort, that has only positive words, and/ or more meanings toward love. ————–
I love the others, dont get me wrong. if i had to pick my top 10 in no particular order, i wouldn’t be able to do so. keep it up and thanks for sharing your pics, i enjoyed them.
P.s. if they don’t like your work, just keep on doing what feels right in your heart. you’ll prove them wrong.
